Bravery Bank
A 3v3 where every brave action banks a disc for the team, whether it works or not.
3v3 to pop-up goals; the banker on the side drops a disc in a team's bucket for every brave action.
Set up
- Set out pitches with pop-up goals at each end.
- Put a bucket for each team on the side.
- An adult is the banker for each pitch.
3v3 on 25 m by 18 m (two pitches for 12 children).
How to play
- Play normal 3v3.
- The team banks a disc for any clear brave action: running at a defender with the ball, trying a move or fake, or using the practice foot to beat someone.
- Tries count even if they do not work.
- Any teammate can shout Bank it! for a friend.
- After 4 minutes, count the team's discs and goals together.
- Try to beat your team's own last bank.
Keeping everyone moving
Everyone plays. Swap teams by lucky dip each game.
Make it easier
- One trigger only (run at someone).
Make it harder
- A bonus disc for helping a teammate win the ball back.
Three things to say
- Taking players on.
- Trying moves in a real game.
- Lifting teammates.
Words that work: "Bank it, that was brave!", "Great work, keep trying!", "Brilliant shout for your friend!"
Colts habit
Shout Bank it for others.
Both feet
The practice foot trigger.
Heads up
