Launch Pad
Every restart begins in the keeper's hands with a roll or throw to a teammate.
Every restart starts with the keeper holding the ball, and the other team drops behind the halfway line.
Set up
- Place a goal at each end.
- Mark a halfway line with discs.
4v4 or 5v5 including keepers; 30 m by 20 m.
How to play
- Every restart begins with the keeper holding the ball.
- Opponents drop behind halfway.
- The keeper rolls or throws to a teammate (no kicking from hands).
- Play on to score.
- Change keepers every three minutes.
Keeping everyone moving
Short keeper turns. All players involved at every restart.
Make it easier
- A throw to any teammate counts as a point too.
Make it harder
- A bonus point if the throw reaches a player moving into space.
Three things to say
- Head up before you release.
- Roll it flat.
- Teammates move to get free.
Words that work: "Great launch!", "Brave pass out!", "Lovely support for your keeper!"
Colts habit
Leadership, the keeper calls the plan.
Both feet
Receive the roll on either foot.
Heads up
The keeper looks before releasing.
