Bowling Match
Bowling against a grown-up: 10 passes each at the pins. Whoever knocks fewer down sets them back up.
Six markers in a line as the pins; take turns to pass at them from the same spot and count what you knock down.
Set up
- Line up 5 or 6 markers as pins.
Garden, park.
How to play
- Take 10 passes each at the pins.
- Count the pins you knock down.
- Whoever knocks fewer down sets them back up. Then go again.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Step back a pace each round.
- Practice foot only.
Three things to say
- Standing foot at the pins, strike the middle of the ball.
Colts habit
Work hard: little and often beats one long go.
Both feet
Do a round with the practice foot only.
Heads up
Look up between touches.
Safety: Pick a clear, flat space, look out for traffic and hazards, and stop if anything hurts. Soft ball indoors.
My best
Pins out of 10 passes. Last time and this time. Only ever compared with your own earlier go, never with anyone else. Saved on this device only.
