Rate My Touch
A grown-up (or a wall) feeds you 10 balls. Score yourself out of 10 for clean, close touches.
Set up
- A grown-up ready to throw or roll, or a wall.
Garden, park.
How to play
- Take 10 balls. Kill each one dead with one touch (foot, thigh or chest) into your control zone, about two steps.
- Give each touch a score out of 10 for how clean and close it was.
- Write down your best score, then keep going and push for a perfect 10. Make the throws harder as you improve: start gentle, then higher and to the sides.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Blind first touch: a grown-up throws the ball and holds up fingers at the same moment. Call the number out loud and kill the ball dead inside 2 giant steps, all in one touch.
Three things to say
- Soft foot, ball close. That's a top touch.
Colts habit
Work hard: little and often beats one long go.
Both feet
Do a round with the practice foot only.
Heads up
Look up between touches.
Safety: Throws below head height. No heading.
