Set up
- Warm up for 5 minutes: jog, then a few passes against a wall.
- Make a goal with two markers.
Garden, park.
How to play
- Laces shot: plant foot beside the ball, strike through the middle with your laces, head steady.
- Placed shot: use the inside of your foot to pass it into a corner. 10 shots.
- Aim small: put a target (bottle or marker) in a corner and try to hit it. 10 shots.
- Practice foot: 8 shots with your practice foot. Even a few good ones help.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Top corners: get your laces a touch under the ball to lift it into the top corner.
- First-time: roll the ball to yourself and shoot without stopping it.
- Further out: step back a few paces and keep your shots on target.
Three things to say
- Plant foot beside the ball.
- Laces through the middle, head steady and over the ball.
Colts habit
Work hard: little and often beats one long go.
Both feet
Do a round with the practice foot only.
Heads up
Look up between touches.
