Wall Passing

An accurate pass is how you keep your team on the ball.

At home 25 min 1 to 2 players Wall On your own With a grown-up 2016 to 2019

Pass, Receive, Heads Up Work hard

Set up

  • Warm up for 5 minutes: jog, toe taps, sole rolls.
  • Find a wall or garage door.

Wall.

How to play

  • Side-foot pass: plant foot pointing at the wall, hit the middle of the ball with the inside of your foot.
  • Control then pass: pass to the wall, stop the rebound dead in one touch, then pass again. 2 minutes.
  • First-time pass: pass it back without stopping it first (one touch).
  • Practice foot: a minute passing with only your practice foot.
  • Move and pass: take a touch to the side, then pass, like you're moving in a game. 2 minutes.

Make it easier

Make it harder

  • Target: aim at a mark or brick on the wall. How many in a row can you hit?
  • Longer pass: step back and pass harder, but keep it accurate.
  • Two-touch rhythm: control with one foot, pass with the other, keep a steady beat going.

Three things to say

  • Plant foot pointing at the target.
  • Inside of the foot through the middle of the ball.
  • Cushion the rebound, then pass again.

Colts habit

Work hard: little and often beats one long go.

Both feet

Do a round with the practice foot only.

Heads up

Look up between touches.

For your birth year

Pick a birth year to show the tweak for that group.
