4 Corner Game
4v4 in the middle with a striker in each end zone, scoring by getting the ball to them.

Set up
- Mark an area of about 30 by 30 with an end zone at each end.
- Two teams of 5: one player from each team in an end zone, 4v4 in the middle.
Balls, bibs, cones and nets. Area about 30 by 30 with an end zone at each end.
How to play
- Teams play a directional game. Goals can only be scored in the end zones.
- Central players look to play penetrating passes to their player in the end zone to score.
- One defender can recover into the end zone.
Keeping everyone moving
Rotate the end-zone players every 2 minutes so everyone plays every role.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- If you play the penetrating pass you can join in to create a 2v1.
- If you play the pass, another player must make the run to create a 2v1.
- Players can dribble into the end zone with the ball to create a 2v1.
- Take out the end zone and see if players can penetrate in a normal game.
Three things to say
- Penetrating passes: when, weight, timing, into feet or into a run.
- Penetrating runs with and without the ball.
- Timing and type of runs.
Colts habit
Lift each other: the passer and the striker score together.
Both feet
Passes into the zone with the practice foot count double.
Heads up
Look for the striker before you receive.
The Colts change: Rotate the end-zone players every 2 minutes so everyone plays every role.
Safety: Keep the area clear of bags and bottles. Stay on your feet, no slide tackles. No heading.
Keeping score: Each child keeps their own count and tries to beat it next time. Nothing is compared between children.
