Breakout Game
Play out from the keeper through the middle and break into the end zone for a 1v1.

Set up
- Mark a grid of about 50 by 30 in 3 sections with a goal at each end.
- 5v5 with 3v3 in the middle section and 1 defender in each defending section.
Balls, bibs, cones and nets. Grid about 50 by 30 with 3 sections of 15 by 20.
How to play
- The game starts from the keeper, who plays to the defender, who attacks by playing through the middle.
- Central players get on the ball and can dribble into the end zone to create a 1v1 with the defender.
- Rotate the defender every 3 minutes.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- A time limit to get out of the middle zone.
- The defender can join the middle zone to create a 4v3 overload.
- Another central player can create a 2v1 in the end zone.
- Goals can be scored from the central zone.
Three things to say
- Make the pitch big to create space.
- Get on the front foot going forward as quickly as you can.
- Attack the 1v1 quickly, be direct, take early shots.
Colts habit
Be brave: be direct, take the early shot.
Both feet
Break into the end zone with the practice foot.
