Inside-Outside
Inside players receive from an outside player, pass back, go through the middle box and find another.

Set up
- Mark a 20 by 20 grid with a 5 by 5 box in the middle.
- Half the players stand around the outside with a ball each. The other half start inside.
Balls, bibs and cones. 20 by 20 grid with a 5 by 5 box in the middle. Half the players inside, half outside.
How to play
- Inside players go to an outside player, receive a pass and pass it back.
- They then go through the central box and out to another player with a ball, and repeat for 1 to 2 minutes.
- After 1 to 2 minutes, swap the outside players with the inside players.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Change the pass: throw for a side-foot volley, throw for a laces volley, throw for chest control and volley.
- Inside players receive a pass, keep the ball, dribble through the central box, pass to an outside player, get the ball back and repeat.
- Inside players receive a pass, play a 1-2 with the outside player and swap roles.
Three things to say
- Passing and receiving technique.
- Communication, head up and observation.
- Movement and angles to receive the ball.
Colts habit
Work hard: keep moving for the full two minutes.
Both feet
Receive on one foot, pass with the other.
Heads up
Look for a free outside player as you leave the box.
Safety: Keep thrown balls below head height. No heading.
Keeping score: Each child keeps their own count and tries to beat it next time. Nothing is compared between children.
