Build-a-Pitch
The child designs a pitch with a pond nobody may step on and a tunnel where goals count double.
Shoes for goals, a towel pond nobody may step on, and a chair tunnel where goals count double; your child changes one thing every five minutes.
Set up
- Your child builds a pitch with two goals (shoes).
- They add a pond (a towel) nobody may step on.
- They add a tunnel (between chair legs) where goals count double.
Garden, indoors or park.
How to play
- Play 1v1. You use your other foot to keep it fun.
- After 5 minutes, your child changes one thing about the pitch.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Add a second pond or a smaller tunnel.
Three things to say
- Look for the tunnel, and mind the pond.
Colts habit
Leadership: the child designs and changes the pitch.
Both feet
The grown-up plays with their other foot.
Heads up
Where's the pond? Where's the tunnel?
Safety: Keep indoor play low and slow, away from glass, stairs and TVs. Use a soft ball indoors. Make sure the chair is stable.
