Quick Switch
A grown-up rolls the ball and calls Attack! or Defend!, and the child switches roles on the call.
A shoe goal; you roll the ball to your child from a few steps away and call Attack! or Defend! as it travels.
Set up
- Make a shoe goal. Stand a few steps from your child with the ball.
Garden, indoors with a soft ball, or park.
How to play
- Roll the ball to your child.
- Call Attack! or Defend!
- Attack: your child dribbles through the shoe goal.
- Defend: your child stays between you and the goal while you dribble.
- Play 10 calls.
Make it easier
Make it harder
- Call a switch in the middle of the move.
Three things to say
- Switch straight away, and get between the ball and the goal when defending.
Colts habit
Work hard: ten switches.
Both feet
Attack with the practice foot every other go.
Heads up
Listen and look at the same time.
Safety: Clear the space indoors. Use a soft ball near windows.
My best
Good switches out of 10. Last time and this time. Only ever compared with your own earlier go, never with anyone else. Saved on this device only.
